Evaluation

• There is a 10 day evaluation period for SegPlay® PC. After 10 days the program will display a time-out message giving you the opportunity to authorize the program.

• During the evaluation period you can use the full features of the program with the following exceptions:

1. Printing is not possible.
2. You can only access the first three patterns
3. Paint and paper textures are limited to the first three (3) shown.
4. You can not install any of the add-on pattern sets

Authorization

• When you purchase SegPlay® PC, you will receive an authorization code that will allow you to use all the features of the program. It's best to copy and paste the code from the email into its respective field. If typing, make sure you type in the code exactly as it appears. Be sure that the field is clear of any characters (e.g. blank spaces) before entering the authorization code.

• If your authorization code does not seem to be working, verify that the code ends with a dash and 3 characters (e.g. -AAA) (where A is any alphabetic character from A to Z). Some invalid codes periodically get generated from the Kagi system and end with a dash and 2 characters (e.g. -AA). If this is the case, Just send us an email to: support@segmation.com and we'll generate a valid code for you.

• You will need administrative privileges to install SegPlay® PC. For the vast majority of Windows computer users this is the default case. However in certain circumstances, you may need to contact your system administrative for help with nstalling SegPlayPC.

• If you need to transfer SegPlay® PC to another computer or if your computer crashed, hard drive failed, or any other catasphrophe occured which requires you to reinstall SegPlayPC, you will need a new authorization code. Also the authorization codes are valid for a limited time period. If you need a new updated code it's no problem, just send us an email at: support@segmation.com and request one.

• The authorization codes for SegPlay® PC are only good for that product and for that user/email address. They are valid for a limited time period. They will not work for SegPlayMobile™

•When your SegPlay® PC is authorized, you will see the word "Authorized" in the title bar of the program's window.

Windows Vista Users

•SegPlay® PC is fully supported on Windows Vista and there are no known bugs or limitations. Several users have initally reported problems installing, but the problems went away after updating various operating system drivers.

DirectX

•SegPlay® PC requires DirectX to be installed on your computer (note: DirectX is preinstalled with Windows Vista).

• If you are seeing any DirectX related error messages (e.g. non-zero reference counts, failed creating Direct3D device Objects, can't find any compatible Direct3D devices), try running the dxdiag.exe program which should be in your computer's system directory. Go to the display tab and verify that your graphics card has at least 64Megs of memory. Also run the Test Direct3D to see if any additional information is displayed.

Add-on Pattern Sets

•If you have trying installing the Add-on Pattern sets, try first downloading the set to your desktop, and then running the install from there. Also if you see the set unpacking and then stopping, make sure you don't have multiple versions of the installation running. If all else fails, try closing all running programs, rebooting your computer and run the add-on pattern set install again.

• We do not recommend manually deleting the add-on pattern files to remove them from the program or to free up disk space. We recommend uninstalling SegPlay using the Add/Remove Programs tool in your computer's control panel, and then reinstalling SegPlayPC.
• The download sets are large (some are over 40Megabytes). The time to download depends on your internet connection (dialup, cable modem, or other). If you find the download is going at very slow pace, try waiting a few hours and trying the download again.

paintmarkKnown Issues

•The uninstall process may not be successful. You will see the following message: "Internal error, unable to load or call external DLL. Please contact your vendor for more info.".
Run this Microsoft patch (Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)) and try uninstalling again.
