Robin Redbreast

Robins are popular birds because of their reddish-orange breast. There are actually three well recognized though not directly related species named robins: American Robin (thrust family) , European Robin (chat family) and the Australasian robin (petroica family all with similar orange colorings. The American Robin can be found throughout North America. Robin's eggs have a characteristic light blue coloring. You'll find many great patterns of robins in this pattern set include both American and European robins. They are nesting and sitting on posts and branches in various environmental settings.

Rocky Beaches

Although beaches with wide sandy areas evoke a sense of relaxation and serenity, rocky coastlines evoke a sense of bold adventure and constant danger. Rocks divert incoming waves, create a random spray of water, and reflect sunlight in arbitrary directions, creating a unique beauty for all to enjoy, We've pulled together a set of images that depict rocky beaches with various characteristics. You'll find a wide range of colorful elements in the tide pools, sunsets, cloud formations, surf, boulders, distant islands, coastlines, mist, and vegetation hiding in these patterns.

Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day is originally a Catholic holiday which is celebrated annually on March 17. The day has evolved to become a secular celebration of Irish culture. Saint Patrick was a real person who joined the Church in Britain around the year 432, and among other legends, used the shamrock to teach the Christian doctrine of the Trinity to the Irish people. Today many participate in this event by wearing green clothing and other items. Our pattern set contains many elements of this holiday including leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows, clovers, large green hats, and of course drinking green beer.

Sandro Botticelli - Florentine Artist

Sandro Botticelli (1445 - 1510) was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the early part of the Renaissance. Several of his works are considered to be among the most recognized masterpieces of florentine art. He developed a highly personalized style taking the linear approach to new levels of sophistication. He spent almost all of his life working for the influential families of Florence, in particular the Medici family for whom he mostly painted portraits. Our set of patterns includes his most important works including the Adoration of the Magi, The Birth of Venus, Venus and Mars, Primavera,Portrait of a Man with a Medal, The Return of Judith, Portait of a Young Man, and The Annunciation. There are also many portraits, and several of his "Madonna and Child" paintings he completed late in his life.

Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Peace on Earth, and Season's Greetings are shouted with joy during this time period. In other languages, you can say Boas Festas, Bon Carnaval, Feliz Navidad, Glædelig jul, Hyvää joulua, Iyi Seneler, Nollaig Shona Duit, Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon, and Joyeuses Fêtes. Our Season's Greetings artwork has been provided by Puffy P who creates edgy and humorous properties for licensing, with a specialization in the teen/tween, Latin, and women's markets. You find snowmen, menorahs, snowflakes, Christmas trees, confetti, champagne, and cookies among the greetings!

Set Sail!

Sailing is a method of moving and controlling a ship in water with large fabric foils called sails. With a small amount of skill and training (in addition to good weather and a bit of wind), a competent captain can adjust the sail rigging and control the rudder, and navigate through the water to a desired destination. Though gradually replaced by ships with internal combustion engines, sailboats in many places are used as a recreational activity, with activities such as a racing and cruising. Our Sailing pattern set includes many photos of sailboats with sails trimmed in picturesque backdrops of sunsets, clear and cloudy skies, wooded shorelines, and calm waters.

Shells by the Seashore

A shell is the common name for a protective layer that was created by a sea creature such as a sea urchin, mollusk, cockle, or clam. As they wash up on shores around the world, many collect shells to keep them, turn them into creative art projects, or sell them outright. Shells have functioned as currency, hair pipes, belts, scrapers, clasps, oil lamps, soil conditioners, musical instruments, jewelry, architectural decoration, and as religious symbols. Our collection of 24 shell patterns are based on a diverse set of shell-themed photographs showing shells in their native form on the beach, and staged in various poses.

Sir Henry Raeburn - Scottish Portrait Painter

Sir Henry Raeburn (1756 -1823) was a successful Scottish portrait painter who lived in Edinburgh. His works are characterized by strong characterization, stark realism, and dramatic lighting effects. He typically employed clashing color combinations, and a course modeling technique. Our pattern set includes many of his portraits, including his most recognized work, The Skating Minister. Other portraits include Boy and Rabbit, Alexander Ranaldson MacDonell of Glengarry, Sir Walter Scott, Mrs. Robert Scott Moncrieff, and Sir John Sinclair. There is also a self portrait included in the set.

Sisterly Angels

Snowman

A Snowman is a popular snow sculpture created by rolling three large snowballs and assembling them vertically to form a base, body, and head. Design elements are then added including branches for arms, a carrot for a nose, rocks and charcoal for buttons and eyes, and even a hat, scarf, gloves or jacket as warm clothing. Snowman are popular in modern culture and traditional character in many Holiday stories and songs, including everyone's favorite 'Frosty the Snowman'. Our Snowman pattern set includes many illustrations of Snowman designs with scarves, hats, flags, and branches. Children are shown building snowman. Snug as a Bug

Bugs are miniature marvels that are quite diverse. Entomology, a specialty in the field of biology, is the study of insects and includes more than two thirds of all known organisms. These creatures include bees, beetles, flies, moths, butterflies, ants, grasshoppers, crickets, dragonflies, earthworms, snails, slugs, arachnids, and centipedes. We've put together a fun collection of colorful bug illustrations in this set. You'll find a worm in an apple, a smiling snail, a grinning spider, a busy bee, a whimsical spider, a lady bug on a green leaf, a snail in its shell, and a moth showing off its colorful wings.
