Cats Two

Cats are small furry, domesticated mammals kept as household pets as they have been for many centuries. Although solitary hunters, cats are actually social species with many forms of vocalization and body language. They have strong, flexible bodies and have better hearing and smelling ability than humans. They can see in the darkness though they have poorer color vision than humans. There are many breeds of cats distinguished by their coats and patterns. In this pattern set you’ll find many different colorful varieties of cats photographed mostly in outside environments. The images are composed of both up close and at medium distances capturing many details. Our feline friends have provided us with many intriguing expressions as they gazed into the cameras.

Fresh as a Daisy

Daisies are a type of flower in a species called Asteraceae. Other similar flowers include asters and sunflowers. They are found nearly everywhere in the world except for the arctic regions. There most distinguishing characteristic is the flower head made up of tiny florets which share the same stem. Each floret has five petals which are fused at the base to form a tube. Daisies come in many colors including yellow, red, blue, pink, purple, and orange. Our Daisy set includes patterns created from well taken photographs of daisies in their natural settings. You'll find both single and multiple daises in green fields, and against blue skies, taken from above and below.

Robin Redbreast

Robins are popular birds because of their reddish-orange breast. There are actually three well recognized though not directly related species named robins: American Robin (thrust family) , European Robin (chat family) and the Australasian robin (petroica family all with similar orange colorings. The American Robin can be found throughout North America. Robin's eggs have a characteristic light blue coloring. You'll find many great patterns of robins in this pattern set include both American and European robins. They are nesting and sitting on posts and branches in various environmental settings.

Horses are large four footed animals that have been domesticated for thousands of years. Their well-developed sense of balance allows them to flee from predators and also sleep while standing up. Humans and horses interact in both sporting events and work activities. A rose is a perennial flower or shrub that comes in many species and colors. There is also a range of sizes for roses from miniature roses to climbers that reach over 15 feet. They are characterized with a delightful fragrance, a set of colorful oval leaves, and a prickly stem. There is an edible side to roses: they have edible fruit, rose oil is used for cooking, rose hips are used for jellies and jams, and rose syrup is used for scones and marshmallows. Our set of Rose patterns contains many images of colored roses, many taken from a macro camera lens in various close up positions. Sunflowers are an annual plant that is best distinguished by its large flowering head. The small flowers in the head are known as florets and are arranged in a mathematically defined spiral pattern. When it buds, the sunflower follows the direction of the sun during the day. Products from sunflowers include sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, breads, and butters. Our sunflower pattern set includes many photographs, which depict this plant from various angles. Various parts of the sunflower plant are highlighted in the patterns including the flowering head, leaves, and stem.

The moon is Earth's only natural satellite and we celebrate its beauty in this wonderful pattern set. Because the moon rotates in step with the Earth, we can only see about 59% of the moon's surface. The dark and featureless plains we see on the near side of the moon are called maria, a Latin term for seas. In our set of Moonglow patterns we showcase photographed images of landscapes, which are lit or dominated with the visible moon. In some patterns, the moon is depicted by itself, while in others, the moon is shown reflecting over calm waters, lighthouses, beaches, bare trees, cloudy skies, rocky coastlines, wheat fields, and mountain ranges.

Penguins - Our Antarctic Friends

Penguins are flightless, aquatic birds who live primarily in Antarctica, though some are found as far north as the Galapagos Islands. They feed on squid, fish, and krill. The most common species are the Emperor, King, Adeline, Gentoo, Rock Hopper, African, and Little Blue Penguins. They are active communicators, though their hearing is not the best. They sleep standing up, spend long times in the water, and are oriented by the sun. Our pattern set of Penguin patterns shows a number of different species in the wild and at zoos, and in various poses. Castles are defensive structures built primarily in the Middle Ages. Rather than being strictly military in use, castles were the prime residence ofnobles and monarchs. Castles had various uses including being prisons, and socializing places. They also had some offensive uses including the storage of weapons and serving as a military camp. Our collection of castle patterns contains picturesque images of castles throughout the world. The castles are shown in the natural beauty reflecting in water, backdropped by clear and cloudy skies, and surrounded by trees and other vegetation.

Shells by the Seashore

A shell is the common name for a protective layer that was created by a sea creature such as a sea urchin, mollusk, cockle, or clam. As they wash up on shores around the world, many collect shells to keep them, turn them into creative art projects, or sell them outright. Shells have functioned as currency, hair pipes, belts, scrapers, clasps, oil lamps, soil conditioners, musical instruments, jewelry, architectural decoration, and as religious symbols.
