The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge in San Francisco. It spans the Golden Gate which is the opening of San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean. It is considered to be the most photographed bridge in the world. Construction started in January 1933 and opened in May 1937. It is painted in a color called International Orange, originally used for a sealant for the bridge. Unfortunately more people attempt suicide at the bridge, than any other location. Our pattern set collection contains many photographs of the bridge taken from various angles and vantage points, and at different times of day. Several show the bridge enveloped in fog, a common occurrence in San Francisco.

An icicle is a spike of ice formed when water dripping or falling from an object freezes. The heat source which causes the ice to melt is typically the sun. Although icicles might be a hazard when positioned over people, they generally exist in natural surroundings where snow and rain fall off exist. Because of their cylindrical shapes, icicles beautifully refract the world around them. Our collection of Icicle patterns show a diverse collection of icicles in winter scenery viewed from inside windows and outside settings. You’ll find icicles forming from trees, branches, leaves, and roofs. In their backgrounds you’ll find bright blue skies, mountains, and sunsets.

A wildflower is a flower that grows in the wild as opposed to being seeded or planted. The term is not an exact classification and better ones might be native species, invasive species, imported, or naturalized. In many stores you can actually buy “”wildflower”” seeds which don’t refer to a particular plant. Never-the-less you can think of wildflowers as referring to colorful small plants which bloom in many habitats throughout the world, generally in the springtime. Our collection of wildflower pattern

Apples are the most widely cultivated tree fruits in the world. They’ve been grown for thousands of years in many historical cultures. Although apples have been the focus of many legends and traditions, the most recognized placement of apples is in the biblical story of the Garden of Eden where they referred to as the forbidden fruit. Apples and other fruits are commonly used as art subject typically placed in a fruit bowl. Our collection of Apple patterns depicts them in natural settings both on the tree and harvested in baskets. Different lighting and backgrounds are used to highlight the apple. Some apples in these patterns are held up in hands and others even have some bites taken out them.

Sailing is a method of moving and controlling a ship in water with large fabric foils called sails. With a small amount of skill and training (in addition to good weather and a bit of wind), a competent captain can adjust the sail rigging and control the rudder, and navigate through the water to a desired destination. Though gradually replaced by ships with internal combustion engines, sailboats in many places are used as a recreational activity, with activities such as a racing and cruising. Our Sailing pattern set includes many photos of sailboats with sails trimmed in picturesque backdrops of sunsets, clear and cloudy skies, wooded shorelines, and calm waters.

Kenneth Greene has spent the past 35 years doing photographic studies in contrasts, lines, colors and glimpses of life in a moment of time. When Kenneth photographs people, he captures a feeling for that one moment that really matters in their lives. He may not know what happened just prior to the photo, and he almost certainly won’t know what their lives will be like after that instant he memorializes. He captures that moment in time alone, but it somehow tells their entire life story in a second. I’m looking for the instant the tide recedes and washes over the rocks; the moment a diver propels herself upwards and her feet leave the diving board; or when a couple embraces…just before the waves crash down upon them. These are the moments in life when you hold your breath, wondering what comes next. The former child protective services professional recently retired from San Diego County after working for almost two decades with victims and families of child abuse and violence.Now it is time to pursue my passion full time for art and design. The act of creating nurtures my soul. I love taking photographs and I love to draw and paint. Kenneth’s whimsical drawings appear in a line of coloring books and note cards entitled, Pictures From My Mind. Geared to young children, teenagers, and adults, these images can be colored, will spark new ideas with readers, or can just be enjoyed as they are. It is a memorable experience of the people and countryside of Cuba, portraying a land stuck in time with a nation yearning to leap into the 21st century.
