James McNeill Whistler - Art for Art's Sake

James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) was an American born, British painter who believed Art should be for Art's sake, not for state or religious purposes. His personal motif was a stylized butterfly, which he signed most of his paintings with. Although small in size, butterflies capture our imagination with their animated movements, amazing lifecycle metamorphosis, and most especially their colorful appearance. Our SegPlayPC collection contains a wonderful set of 20 butterfly patterns which are simple, colorful, cleanly delineated, and so fun to complete. We captured butterflies in a wide assortment of hues and poses. There are also a few patterns depicting children catching butterflies with nets.

Michelangelo - Italian Renaissance Artist

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (1475 - 1564) was an amazingly talented Italian Renaissance painter and sculptor. Our SegPlayPC collection contains 23 patterns mostly from his renown paintings of the Sistine Chapel in Rome including The Last Judgement, The Sibyl of Delphi, The Cumaean Sibyl, The Creation of Adam, The Prophet Jeremiah, The Erythraean Sibyl, Ignudo, and The Creation of the Sun and Moon. We have also included patterns of two of his most well known sculptures: David and Giuliano de' Medici.

Edgar Degas - Modern Artist, par excellence

Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was a original French artist who detoured from the Impressionist style, and experimented with realism, off-center compositions, cropping, color, and form. His favorite subjects included dancers, café life, horses, and women in non-traditional poses (bathing, combing hair and doing laundry). Paul Gauguin - Post Impressionist Synthetist

Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was an innovative post impressionistic painter who experimented with bold colors in a mystical style of painting (soon to be called Synthetism). He was greatly influenced by the exotic Polynesian world, where Tahitian themes abound in much of his artwork. Francisco Goya - First of the Moderns

Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828) was a renown Spanish artist best known for his subversive, satirical, and objective style. Although officially employed as a Spanish court painter, his best work was done apart from his official duties. Our SegPlayPC™ Goya collection comprises 26 patterns of his best works. There are several self portraits, nude and clothed Maja, numerous portraits (Dutchess of Alba, Isidoro Máiquez, Countess of Chichon, José Antonio, Juan Martin Diaz, Maria Teresa, Sabasa Garcia), and a number of period scenes (The Grape Harvest, Water Carrier, The Parasol). We've also included his dramatic and influential The Third of May 1808: The Execution of the Defenders of Madrid.
