SegTech is a energetic company with talented people who are focused with bringing original scientific image-processing research into fun and creative products. Optimized for processing photographs, Segmation™ is a powerful tool 10 years in the making, which provides a novel approach to the complex problem of breaking (segmenting) an image into individual pieces.

Originally marketed as a stand-alone shareware product as PhotoPat by Rainbow Scan, Inc. in the early 1990s, the color by number pattern technology has been refined and improved in a response to user feedback, new algorithms, industry formats, palettes, internet usage, and new desktop applications.

The technology was re-released as a Photoshop Plug-in marketed by Xaos Tools in 1998 to enable graphic artists to discover the simplicity and beauty hidden in their images. Segmation™ also added the wonderful ability to design with centuries old tessellation patterns.

SegTech is focused on promoting this fascinating artistic technique with new software offerings and future creative craft offerings.
